1. West Hollywood Historic Preservation Commission Meeting

The HPC is recommending that a nomination be prepared for local cultural resource designation for the historic Formosa Café and is considering the approval of a Mills Act (tax credit) contract for the Patio del Moro apartment building.
2. Neighborhood Meeting regarding 8445-8457 Santa Monica Boulevard, a large site which includes the famous Barney’s Beanery roadhouse and the mid-century building that formerly housed Ritts Furniture (shown above).

Location: Palihouse Hotel, 8465 Holloway Drive, West Hollywood
Last year, the developers of the Barney’s Beanery site revealed plans for a new hotel that alarmed the community. Now, the parcel next door to Barney’s – the one with the mid-century building — has been sold. This meeting for the neighborhood will discuss what’s in store for this large site.
3. Planning Commission Design Review Subcommittee Meeting on the French Marketplace

Developer Faring Capital will present its plans for the French Marketplace site. The subcommittee will be taking public comment on the design.
